Prangin Mall is a modern mall located next to the ICT@Komtar complex, and opposite to one of the main bus stations of Georgetown. Prangin is not that big on itself, but together with neighboring malls ICT@Komtar and 1st Avenue it forms the biggest retail area on Penang Island. Prangin has 167 shops, spread out over 5 floors. In the basement there is a Giant Supermarket. Anchor tenant is Parkson. The mall is connected to Komtar by a sky bridge. Of course there are many F&B outlets including Starbucks, McDonald's, Secret Recipe and Sushi King.

The 4th floor of Prangin Mall is completely dedicated to everything related to IT/ICT; you will find every gadget or computer accessory at eTech@Prangin. The 5th floor contains a huge Cathay Cineplex, an amusement center and the Highway Explorer internet cafe. Prangin was opened to public in 2001; which means it is already an old shopping mall for Malaysian standards. As Prangin currently mainly caters to a lower/middle class market, it is considered a bargain-hunters paradise. Because of this locals often compare Prangin with the popular Sungei Wang Plaza in Kuala Lumpur (With its typical local shops). Opening hours: The mall is opened daily from 10am to 10pm.
